ok, another question??

Just wondering if it would make a difference, I have a board(2X4 turned the skinny way) running across the top
of the cage thats about 1-2 inches thick, the rest of the basking area is open(4ft shelf).
I have 2 4 foot Reptisun 5.0 bulbs above this, will that 1-2 inches block out too much UVB or
will it be ok? The light looks to shine all over the shelf regardless of the support beam, but I just
wanted to check? Thanks. If you can, will someone answer my posts below about the pecan tree wood and ants????
