is it still ok, or does it has to be 12/12?
those 2 extra hours i use during the day to cool the room down. and refresh the air up a bit (though very clean and potty-trained, my ig's room can still get a certain smell).

: Well, we have an incadesant lamp for heat, and a full spectrum flourescent lamp for UVA and B. Both of which we leave on for around 12 hours a day. The health of our ig has improved DRAMATICALLY since we "rescued" him. So, I don't know about the 8 hours thing, 12 seems to work fine for us. Hope this helps!!!
