Iggie at the bottom of the cage

I have mentioned before that at first I thought iggie was a girl but now I think she is a he - head bobbing recently and hissing at me - tonight I went to check on him and he was on the bottom of his cage - and cold - his emitter is on for night time and he usually is under it at night. I took him out and he was freezing--I warmed him up, put him in the tub and now he is sleeping on his shelf. I have no idea why he did this--during the day I use that new UV Heat light - I moved it a little off his shelf because I thought it was too hot but now I think maybe its not hot enough so I moved it over his shelf in the corner. He has shed in a long time so I started to mist him - he is eating which is one good thing but something isnt right - can anyone help me--I would hate to loose him after I have come this far--he is 2 years old and in a 4 foot open cage.
