You and a friend walk in and pretend to be interested in purchasing enough stuff to setup two new lizards. So two tanks, heat lights, reptile lights, substrate, the whole thing lizards too. So thats a lot of money, $300 a piece depending on the lizard. You ask this owner about the info and the needs and have him help you get all the stuff together. Really work him and make him sweat.....of course your ready to gag him cause he is probably signing a death warrant to the lizard with all his bad info but you contain your self and breath.....Then you and your friend have all your stuff on the counter ready to go and your friend "SPOTS" that big poor lizard in the corner! "OH NO! What's wrong with her?..." The store owner makes excuess and..." But my iguana NEVER looked like that...and she had about 6 different lights in her huge cage that was mandatory to suit her active/healthy life style. and her food had color contrast to her clean white porcelain dish ( a little fancy I know) and well my iguana was green?" Then you step in and say, " you know what I'm not gonna support anyone that treats anything like that. We'll go buy our stuff (name his pet store rival) where the iguanas aren't living in their own waste.
You leave and you leave with a possibility of a $600 dollar purchase that is going to his rival...ahh sweet sweet revenge.
I think this works and it leaves the owner with a bigger deficit in his mind because of the iguana, not just the loss of the sale of the iguana but $600 dollars worth of other stuff. He gets no money what so ever and maby,,,,,just possibly a clue! What do you think? If you try it I hope it works. Also...I think a vet in there would help...Authority can bring someone to their knees.
