Dying tail??

Hi
I have noticed that the tip of my iguana's tail is black and looks dead.
What could have caused this???
He is just 3 or 4 mths old. In a 40 gallon breeder tank with temps right. He eats fine. has the UVB light and gets plenty of Calcium Suplements.
Any ideas would be great
