here's the links to the sites Cirisue mentioned ... (sorry, ya gotta cut + paste)
http://www.sonic.net/~melissk/ig_care.html
http://www.baskingspot.com/iguanas/

you'll make yourself nuts if you try to get *too* scientific and figure the exact Ca/P ratio for every meal ... it doesn't have to be that exact ... between MK's pages + Jen's pages, you'll get a really good idea of what to feed and what not to feed and what things are ok *sometimes* ...

as far as "how much?" ... well, that's gonna vary ... your new ig may be stressed for a while + not eat much the first week or so ... take a guess and serve him a salad ... if he chomps it all down it seconds flat + is looking for more, ya didn't make the 1st one big enough! (*grin*) ... if he's always leaving 1/2 of it there til the next meal time, reduce the amount a bit ...

iZ eats twice a day ... well, sometimes he plays with his breakfast instead of eating it ... with your little guy, i'd offer him food 2-3 times a day ... at his age/size, he's gonna grow like a weed so don't worry he's gonna overeat + get fat,
he's gonna be growing too fast to get fat for quite a while yet! *grin*

one important thing ... take a fecal sample to the vet and have it checked for parasites ASAP ... igs are like puppies + kittens in that they *do* have worms until they are treated for them ... that one thing will make a *huge* difference in your iglet's health *and* appetite!

welcome to the best ig-forum there is!
iZ the dreadful dragon + his humommy
