Iguanas cannot absorb water or anything through their skin. That's why "spray on skin vitamins" are worthless and a waste of money. Neither do they absorb fluids through their vents. Iguanas and most other reptiles can't absorb fluids through skin because they are covered with scales and non-poreous (however you spell that).
I know several people who let their igs swim in their pools, and they just keep the chlorine level particularly low.
My concern would not be them being able to absorb the water and chlorine through the skin (because they can't) but them drinking it or getting it in their eyes. And yeah, there was a discussion on the IML about it a while ago, and there were mixed feelings and opinions about it. Try searching the archives at onelist if you happen to be a member of IguanaMail.
Best,

: I wouldn't because they absorb water through their skin and then would absorb the chlorine, and they might drink it. I would try a kiddy pool with regular water, no chemicals, or a pond. Mine loves her pond!
