Well, I was supposed to start giving Skunka her baytril on Friday, but between the extreme amount of stress it puts her in, and the fact that I want to be able to observe for any reactions, I was just preparing to finally give it to her this morning - and I purposely took my re-heated burger into the living room to eat in front of her- and she actually turned to watch me eat! So I kept asking if she wanted some, but didn't take it to her, and when I only had 2 bites of bun left, I took it and waved it in front of her face.
(I'm not trying to be cruel, really!) AND SHE TOOK A BITE!!! So I quickly put 1cc of calcium and 1 cc of baytril in the remaining bite, and -
wolf - there it went! That made my day. And I won't get my hopes up, but I thought that on Fri.
it looked like she either ate a tiny bit of food, or walked through it, so just maybe she's reabsorbing the eggs. I can't really judge whether
she's less lumpy, but I don't care as long as I can give her the calcium and baytril she needs in 2 pills of bread a day! Just wanted to share the good, and very slightly hopeful, news.
