Hello Marci! First of all, I just want to let you know that it is great that you came to this forum to ask questions. Being that you are a novice at keeping igs, it was a great idea. Please dont be discouraged from comming to the forum for help.
I wouldnt keep the ig in the 4ft round pool. Igs love to climb high. Its their nature, and makes them feel safer! I was a poet and didnt know it! hee!hee! Anyway, since you are interested in keeping a happy ig, I would build a large enclosure for the ig. Especially since she is so large. You may want the dimensions to be something like 6ft tall, 4ft wide, and like 3ft deep. You will want the ig to be able to stretch out. Thats my opinion on the situation. If you have anymore questions, please ask us =) Hope this helps, Yvette
