You and IZ are the backbone of the forum. You are one of the reasons we all check almost daily to "see what's new". Apart from the learning, individual help, and good advice that you've given all of us,IZ's trials have been important to us too. Where would we be without you? And more importantly, where would IZ have been without you????
But I sure don't want to hear any more of this "I didn't take him to the vet when I should have" baloney. That's horseradish, and you must know it. You made the correct decision at the time, based on the information you had. (And just how many times was one of your human kids sick ... and you thought about taking them to the doctor but decided to wait "just a little longer" to see if anything developed further. I ask that, because what mother hasn't done that? And if you DO run to the dr. with every sign of illnes - what are you called????? No different with IZ.)
I think IZ is not doing too well because I trust your hummomy instincts. I am SO sorry. The tears here would surely drown us all. We have had too many of our babies go off to the bridge lately.
I too support your DNR idea. It is cruel - and for our own benefit - not our loved ones.
I am not a religious person, but if positive thoughts count ... there is a barage of them going to IZ from me. To help him fight off what needs to get out of his sysem ... or allow him to pass in peace surrounded with your love, not pain.
Of course most of all I'm hoping he'll be up to his old tricks today, and showing you how he perfected this "scare humommy with my breathing" technique.
