What a sweetheart! Lucky ig!! If the burns appear to be surface burns only...zinc oxide is great a thin film applied every other night will take quite a while before sloughing of old scales/shed to remove the discolorated damaged scales....if any opened areas, exudate; crusty looking areas...then a vet checkup is muy importante! May need some rx a/bs and silvadene.
