Well Raven ya got yerself a certifiable spoiled brat there! lolol Youre finding out the iguanas are creatures of habits! bad or good right!...lol
Weaning him off at this stage needs to be slow....
he's still in a fragile state despite all the fantastic work that youve done with him. I'd leave some greens (whole leaves) secured by some of those clippie things for bird sticks...around the cage...and see if that doesn't entice him...to begin eating on his own. Pieces of fruit like oranges or papaya or whole grain breads dipped in Ensure (yummie!)layin around. Not so much tho..that you will not be able to assess how much/if he is eating...IF you notice that some of the foods have been eaten...[in your abscence of course the sneaky little buggers! *if he sees me eating on my own then he may not spoon feed me ever again! and I'll starve to death yet again!*]
.....then begin to leave a small bowl of food heavily sprayed with water...out for him to pick at....Iguanas like eating high up...whereever his basking shelf or branch is ...I'd try securing a fooddish somewhere close to where he hangs out...
will be a few days but his hunger will get the best of him...I'd do this ONLY if he is eating any food left out on his own.......then wait it out (cautiously)
