I think a chip would be a good idea as long as the vets in the area and even animal kennels were alerted to the fact that they can look for such things. These facilities would not need new equipment as they can probably use the same chip locater thing of a thingy they use for dogs. And when dogs come in to vets or shelters that is a regular routine to look for chips. I don't like the idea of anything outside of the body like a necklace, I would be too afraid of it getting caught and strangling my iguana and I think a tatoo would hurt and not stay because they are all muscle. I don't think and thick layers of body fat like us humans. LOL. Nothing to hold the ink in after sheds and it could turn out to be like to much anathesia, deadly.
