Not only disinfecting them...baking , covering with large plastic bags and leaving them outside in the sun for 2weeks or bleach water solution then air drying them but alot of fruit tree branches contain cyanide which dissapates when dried for 30 days prior to using. Pine branches and oils contained toxins, resins that may cause problems if not treated as well. Check with your local nursery about the type of branches used in your enclosures and any precautions you need to take prior to using them ...call around...talk to the "boss!"....good luck!
