Trim your igs claws...get one of those dog toenail clippers with the curved razor blade...keep a bit of cornstarch or flour handy when trimming them...just incase they get a bleed..dip toe in it and no more bleeding...what Ive found helpful is to have a pair of old tube socks cut off closed end and keep em hooked on each enclosure...use as wrist and forearm gaurds..
When my igs see the vet he trims their claws..even when I don't ask him to! free of charge! So if your reluctant to cut em...work something out with your vet , and just because they nails are trimmed doesn't mean they cannot tear ya up...just less razor sharp...got the scars to prove it too! lolol
