By that I mean - "Your iguana is dying, it is worth less then
zero dollars so I will not BUY it, Iguana care is hugely

I understand your desire to be nice to these people,
but, personally, I think if they will not respond to that
then you need to get serious. Also - I find it's nice
to really know what I am talking about when confronting
somebody who is not taking good care of a reptile. My
arguments are MUCH more presuasive when I can back up
everything I say with scientific fact, care sheets, etc.
I really think you are doing a good thing trying to
take this iguana out of these people's hands. So however
you go about, be persistent, because bothering these people
to the point of madness is, IMO, worth the little
creature's life.
