Any helpful tips on potty training my young Ig?

I got Ziggy-Puff (named for his erratic behavior) about a month ago. The pet shop lady told me he was 3-4 months old at the time. So that makes him around 5 months old. I have been giving him a bath in the morning and again at night to help him poop around my schedule. Sometimes this works and sometimes it doesn't. Does anyone have any useful tips on how to get him to go in the tub all of the time. There is also a big, plastic tub with an inch of water sitting under his desk (yes, he's a free-roamer already) and another, smaller plastic tub on top of the desk. Sometimes he will in his little 'jacuzzi' but he will never go in the 'olympic-sized' tub. Maybe he is scared of it. I just don't know what to try next. He has been going some during the day lately. We are trying different foods and he is eating at different times and not always pooping when I'm at home. Lovely little gushy mess to come home to. Ick. I don't mind. I just spray it and clean it up. What we parents go through for our Ig children. Well, let me know if you have any suggestions. Thanks,
