Just recently saw a shudder bob myself. For a brief moment I thought Sneakers was having convulsions. I've never tried to touch him while he is bobbing or looking at it the other way - he has never bobbed while I've been touching him.
Sneakers has started doing something when I'm rubbing him down with his towel after his bath that maybe something like what was described. During his last shed when rubbing him by his spikes on his spine he will arch like a cat pushing against my rubbing. Its not actually standing tall on all fours like I've seen with the bobbing. I was under the impression that he was enjoying the rubbing because he was itchy. When I do that on the top of the tail its funny because just the butt end arches up. All this is without bobbing and the dewlap is not down. Is this what you guys are saying to be careful about?
Joan (it is funny when they stand on all fours and walk sideways, look so uncoordinated)
