I just want to make sure of the species or subspecies I have, as he is not a green Iguana. Spines on back are about 1/2 inch long, and has greenish yellow color, tail has significnt black banding as does the body, but narrowing bands and only on back third of body. Over hind legs, spines missing in area about 3 1/2 inches long due to injury sustained long time ago well healed and skin covered( pervious owner stated was accidently hit with board, however that might have happened, I shudder to think ), Anyway I think that he is a Spiney Iguana, and does this change anything about care and treatment for his mouth rot.
Thanks
Barry
