I do not see how mites could cause the toe problem. I don't know what is causing the toe problem. Usually when there is a single case of this it is because something has injured the area or cut off circulation to the area. I've not heard of multiple drop offs.

If you want to save this ig, you need a vet to diagnose the problem and treat it.
