ig overpopulation problem?

If anyone has access to figures or laws so we can send a explanatory to our govenor.(for me California) Or if anyone is a lawyer send me an e-mail or post. Thank you

Um, last I heard, igs are endangered or at least threatened in parts of their natural range. The reason they can be imported is most the imports are from iguana farms. The problem isn't overpopulation, like dogs and cats (puppy mills), but one of igs being sold as good "beginner" reptiles to people who don't have a clue, or extremely outdated books on care being sold. I personally don't think green iguanas should be made available to the general public. Just my opinion, though... I do have an iguana I rescued from a bad situation...
