Well I was thinking of first convincing the herp societies of America. Letters to all of them and ask them please teach about abstinence(for ig's). I don't think it would be possible for people to keep their igs from breeding but just don't incubate the eggs. I think if we started with ourselves it would help. Obviously you me and the rest of the people aware of the problems of ig overpopulation aren't running iguana mills. (same as puppy mills, breeding the bitches to exhaustion) But to a new person to iguanas a clutch is an opportunity to raise the young and make money. Well if they knew the facts they would know this isn't true. Also reptile rescues would be a good place to have pass out info at shows, adoptions, etc. They can probably be the most convincing because they have proof of overpopulation. I think the thing with going through the government is a good idea. Madagascar has limited the exported chameleons from it's country. Even if the numbers were limited that would help. Well if anyone has ideas for the letters or would like to stand behind me on this I will do research on the figures of iguanas coming in and so and so. If anyone has access to figures or laws so we can send a explanatory to our govenor.(for me California) Or if anyone is a lawyer send me an e-mail or post. Thank you
