Just wanted to say, some scientists and researchers now consider that information passe. It's widely believed now that even young iguanas don't actively search and hunt for bugs to eat as their protein. Now and then, an iguana in the wild, of any age, picks up a bug or two on plants that they eat, but not intentionally. It has been recently found that baby and juvenile iguanas don't have any more bug matter in their system than adults do. Of course, until I'm an iguana in the wild, I won't be able to tell you for absolutely certain. :) I'm just passing on what I've read.
