i'd be too worried to *not* take him into the vet + have him checked out ... iZ broke his tail 1.5 years ago and was put on oral antibiotics to prevent infection ... we tried to splint his tail, thinking it would be more comfortable for him ... wrong! he freaked out hysterically until i could get a blanket over him + get the bandage off ... so ... i'd say no bandage ... but clean is igmom said + call the vet in the morning ...

oh ... iZ's tail healed up pretty good, it's got a dent in it, but he didn't lose it! (*grin*)
