Working purely from memory (which isn't very safe some days *grin*).....kelp is a good source of iodine but when I ran that idea past the Iguana Mail List it got shot down based on the pollution of the oceans. Now I realize you can get this in powdered form in health stores but I DON'T know if this kelp is like "farmed" in man-made,unpolluted salt water or what. For more info on different kelp see:

I also recall eggplant getting questioned at the IML. I believe it was a seldom-feed food AND it has to be cooked to make it non-toxic. And as I recall, that cooking bit came off the PFAF database.
With all this recalling I feel like I'm being investigated by Congress LOL LOL
JBug if you want me to dig further on this I will be happy to do so. I can probably pull the exact thing on eggplant off IML as to MK's comments on it.
