Could it be he fell...and is suffering some type of trauma (doubtful to me)....but check his gait...put him on the ground and watch him ambulate. If he is walking just fine...bareing weight on all fours...for a good period of time...More than likely NOTHING is wrong with him that warrants immediate concern. If he's dragging his rear legs...
Could be diet & husbandry problem ...(improper diet, no uvb; sunshine) creating metabolic bone disease or a hypovitamin disorder. Do not let the owners dump this one on YOU!!!unless you've been watching him over 6 months..This type of paralysis is from CHRONIC POOR care.I'd suspect that this iguana IS NOT getting adequate care from its owners! more than likely this iguana has been doing this on & off BEFORE you got him....and they didn't tell you!
If you can, call the owners and tell them what's going on....for guidance. I'd want to know...wouldn't you!
