Help!! paralyzed iguana

i am "babysitting" my fiends desert iguana and i noticed now that he has just started to drag his back legs and tail!!
he is wild caught in Arizona and i have no idea what to do!!
if you could help me it would be highly apriceated
His daughter is so attatched to Dessi and i dont know how either of them will take it! i guess i will find out on Wednesday :(
