: Hello there. It's been about 4 years since I have had an iggy (I had to give mine away when I moved to Australia).
: Recently I have returned the states and decided to get another Ig.
: But this one is acting completely different from any other that I've had.
: Louise doesn't eat well... if I leave fresh food in the morning, I find it scattered
: about the terrarium when I get home.
: As well, all of the flooring (jungle mix and a bit of tree bark
: and forest moss) is piled up away from the edges (digging it all
: toward the center).
: needless to say Louise, in doing all this, has pulled several claws
: out. I don't suppose they grow these back?
: Can anyone give a reason for this behavior?

hi my male iguana is 3feet almost 2years old i had indoor outdoor carpet in his cage for the longest time then i switched to repti-bark he went crazy digging it away pushing it into a pile and not going near it laying completely away from it he wasnt eating personality changed my dad told me to take it out of his cage that my iguana didnt like it in his cage so i took it all out now i either use indoor outdoor carpet or a piece of white tile board on the floor the tile board is easier to wipe clean and is more sanitary. maybe theres something in the cage your pet dont like my iguana still gets food all over the place in his cage if he dont eat the food that means he doesent like what i gave him or hes just not hungary. sometimes they dont eat alot when they are in breeding season from oct-feb. or they are sick
