: I have an Ig about 6mos old. When at his last Vet visit she said he was a little under weight (sorry I don't know how much he was hubby forgot, I knew I should have gone with him) The vet told us we needed to try and fatten him up some. He had been eating pretty good but his appetie has decreased because I think he's trying to shed. I know that loss of appettie is common in shedding but I am worried that he is going to loose too much weight. Right now his sides are a little wrinkled and I think that I read somewhere that they shouldn't be. Well anyways when should I get worried about him getting too skinny. Thank for your help
: Kristin

have that if they miss one meal,
the thing you look for is the tailbase the lower part is were
the store there "suplies" so if the lower part of the tailbase is getting thin and if yopu press it and it doesnt feel firm the youre ig is in need of some food but ig's can handle a lot !

oh if you feel hi is realy realy realy skinny and youre thinking he wont survive if he eats then give him some gatorade (fulll of easy obtained energy, glucose and electrocytes)
