burns?

My new male Igg (who I have yet to name) has smooth skin under one leg and on his upper belly. Also his dulap is scarred on the bottom. It is possible (though highley unlikley) that he climbed on the CHE. I put antibiotics on the spot just in case. There was no redness or blistering and it did not seem to hurt him when I touched it (I am sure he would let me know).The question is how do I tell the diffrence between an old burn and a new one? It is possible I did not notice it before. Because of the dewlap being scarred too, I think it could be a hot rock injury.
