Not sure of your policy here regarding sharing info but here goes, as I am a new comer maybe will give you all a little insight as to my capabilities on caring for lizzy also.
I have one Iguana named Lizzy, got her from a dreaded pet store where there were many more plus other species. I have had her since August 1998 and she was very small when i first got her, now about close to two feet snout to tail.
I hav eleven cats, yeah I know, we have nine in the apartment and I keep two long haired ones in the office where I work. We also have four fantailed goldfish that we must have kept for over six years, two have turned silver and were originally feeder fish.
I live in chicago with Brian and we have been together for about ten years. I am originally from England and have been here for 25 years. Am 47 and brian 37, between brian the cats and now Lizzy i act and feel like a teen.
Brian did not care for cats in the beginning, lizzy he was dubious about, so far he has not held her but he will stroke her head gently while i am olding her. She will grow on him I know it.
Also wanted to thank everyone here for helping me with what you probably consider very dumb early stage questions, believe me it has helped. I must say thet you all seem to have such wonderful relationships with your I'gs and know their personalities, sure hope this wil happen between Lizzy and i, sure am working at that. Hope no one takes offense to my posting, like I said all boards are different. Oh we have no human kids and at my age don't plan on any that is the ONLY thing i consider myself to old for. LOL. Yes i have a sense of humor and can take ribbing.
