For me, I try my best only to suggest information that can't be overloaded, so to speak. If I was to say strawberries were fine for iguanas, I'd be afraid that there'd be someone out there that would feed their iguana a half pound of strawberries per day and think that it was good for the iguana. My point being, some people (myself included) are cautious about mentioning certain types of food or things you can do with your iguana....because WE don't know what YOU are like.....how you think....etc.... If one of us told you free roaming was just fine...then you let your iguana out and don't iguana proof your house first then there's a good chance your iguana might eat something and die from it, such as plants, small objects, etc...
Bottom line is hang around here long enough and ask plenty of questions, I promise you, you'll understand the information and be able to use what needs to be used and discard the rest.
Here's an example, I firmly believe an adult iguana doesn't need added Calcium supplies to their diet, unless it's a female during egg season. Adults can get all the Calcium they need from a proper diet of Collard greens and other greens. Too much calcium is as bad as not enough.
Stick around, ask away any questions you have....we'll try to give you the right direction as best we can......in the end you must take it all and decide for yourself, what's best.
Best wishes,
HD
