Heat rocks are dangerous (can malfunction and cause terrible burns--I've witnessed it first hand) so I would recommend getting the temp up and taking it out. You could stick a heating pad under the tank, making sure there are newspapers (or whatever it takes so the glass doesn't get too hot). Perhaps these igs could use some crushed up cherry tums sprinkeled on their food for some xtra calcium. Good luck. I hope they find some loving homes! :-)
