We got in this weekend from the Toronto SPCA, what we were told by the vets there is a spiny-tailed black iguana.
He is severely underweight and about 1.5ft long. He is doing exceptionally well in foster care - chasing down the crickets and munching on the greens like there is no tomorrow. We know that spiny-tails do eat some protein, but it is good to see that he prefers his veggies.
I was just curious if anyone could give me an exact species identification for this little guy so I can pass this information onto potential adopters. Thanks!
