If she is holding her head up and opening her mouth/hacking-- and has saliva on the corners of her mouth, she has a respiratory infection (BAD NEWS). If she is just opening her mouth to cool off--it may be too hot in her cage. I have seen both of these behaviors and the former is something to be concerned about. When my last iguana showed signs of this, he died 36 hrs later. He had more internal problems as it turned out with his kidneys but the respiratory infection was from his weakened immune system and ultimately did him in. Please, if you suspect this, go to your vet immediately.
