everytime a person wants to aquire a reptile, he/she has to know ALL'
the basics and some tips n' tricks to successfully
keep the animal. if a little green squirt scares you
to death, you are showing him that the big human being is
inferior, and that he (the ig) is the boss.
i know how loveablethey look, and how fantstic
iguanas can be, but it takes a few things to keep one:
patience (taming, etc.) , devotion (cleaning up its sh*t, potty-training, etc.)
love, bravery (claws n' tails = ouch!), and common sense, plus
a good book on caring for igs.
be persistant, calm, ad affectionate. he's too small (and dumb)
to realize right away that you are not a predator.
you got really goo tips here in the other follow-ups,
so use 'em wisely. reptiles are wild andimals that require a lot of work to
keep successfully, and to socialize.
good luck, and keep us posted! remember, this forum
is always open to people with q's and problems,
and don't be afraid to sound stupid. we all went
through that crap! lol!
