Probably worrying for nothing?

Checked on my IG at lunch, he doesn't seem to have eaten any of the food I left him?
How long should I wait before I worry? He wasn't basking, he was half way under his giant
hidey log in the middle of the aquarium? Seemed alert when I spoke! Maybe it's too hot up there,
no, that can't be? Anyway, just can't wait till he starts eating, I want him to be healthy and strong!
