Do yourself a big favor and go out and purchase a ceramic heat emitter (CHE). Pet stores sell them and you can also order them online (cheaper). We leave ours on 24/7. It screws into a metal dome light fixture like a light bulb does. They get really hot! Be sure to buy a fixture with a ceramic socket (Lowes, HomeDepot,etc.). They last for years and there is no light to pester your iguana.

Shred or tear up your greens! Or just remove the stems. They can choke on the stems or even become impacted and you do not want that to happen. A happy ig is a pooping ig, trust me! They seem to eat more when everything is shredded. What we do with our greens is buy a slew of them weekly. Wash (rinse)and dry them. Grab yourself a TV tray, head for the living room with the tray full of greens and something to throw the stems into. Sit back and watch TV and start ripping. You'll be amazed at how quickly you can get this chore done. Make sure they are fairly dry and smash them into a zip lock. I put a paper towel in each bag to help with any moister. Make enough of these pre-torn bags of greens for a week. We do not mix our greens in the bags. Collards will last a heck of a lot longer than the mustard or turnip greens. Saves you time.

We also chop all of our veggies/fruit by hand (we nixed the food processor). We'll do enough chopping to make enough for 2 weeks at a time. We freeze half and use the other half for the current week. Some veggies freeze better than others, so its hit or miss. Again, a BIG time saver. We then mix the current veggies into a plastic container and work from that every morning. We do not put the chopped fruit in with the veggies tho. We leave the fruit in its own ziplock. Works like a charm.

Yep, you can mist your ig everyday (couple of times even). Just don't do it when the temps are going to drop for the night (might catch a chill).
Also, mist any branches in the cage.
