You can use canned or frozen if necessary, however, especially the canned food have high salt contents. This will keep your poor Ig sneezing.

Paper towels will work. Some Igs will chew it up. You can also buy newspaper print in an arts store. Newspaper will also work until you can get indoor carpeting. I got Home Depot to mark down a remnent for my Iguana cage.
You can cut two sections out so you can always wash the other section.
