There is two sure ways of telling a male from a female if they're older than 1 1/2 years. 1st. The lower back jaw area should puff out alot, almost like it's got something stuffed into it. 2nd. NO NO NO.....newspaper is a good floor covering. Do NOT put anything that your iguana can eat as a substrate.

It's a complete waste of money. You need to get UVB 5.0 lighting and make sure it's within 18" of your iguana during the day. Also these tube bulbs only last 6 months (for the UVB amount) then they have to be replaced. When warmer weather comes around, take your iguana outside for some direct sunlight...it's the best thing for a healthy iguana.
