Candace...looking at Mader's Reptile book...page 417...the 4kd tail is not uncommon. Says to the effect deformity with possible causes such as congenital defect, trauma, and infection. Incomplete damage to a lizards tail can result in healing but also with partial regrowth of a new tail.
