Hey guys! I'll be moving (not sure where but in the same area)
in about 4 months. I want to let my Wasabi freeroam... problem
is... the boyfriend. He is totally disgusted by the iggy poop.
Currently Wasabi goes to the bottom of his enclosure and goes
on butcher paper. (I was trying to get him to go in his water-
litter pan, but most of the time he missed and hung his vent
on the wrong side lol). This *is* kinda gross but sometimes
the urates slide off the paper and thru a small space in the
enclosure and fall to the floor. He thinks this is disgusting.
He wants me to find Wasabi a new home.
Because of all this, he won't allow me to let Wasabi freeroam
in the (once we move) living room OR bedroom. There will be
a spare bedroom but this is going to be my snake room... so I
can't let Wasabi freeroam in there, he could pull the tubs out
of the racks or snab wiring and leave my snakes with no heat...
(he does not seem to be afraid of them but I try to keep it so
Wasabi doesn't see the snakes). I was thinking I could maybe
somehow divide the actual room in half... or build Hatfield's
enclosure and keep him non-freeroaming.
Any ideas here? What can I do? I had always planned on letting
Wasabi freeroam my bedroom. Any ideas on how I can convince
the b/f to accept this? I could try to get Wasabi re-trained
to poo in the bathroom but I am not usualy there when he
decides to go. Any way I could set him up so he had a place
to go that is secure and woulnd't gross the b/f out?
Sorry this is so long but any ideas are greatly appreciated.
Sometimes I do think about finding him a new home... esp since
we like to go away for the weekend and one we move I can't count
on my dad to come buy and visit and feed him... but he's been
a part of my life now for 2 years and I love the lil bugger.
Thanks for reading.
