Hi Gina,
Was just a little curious about other's thoughts on keeping something as specialized and oviously difficult as a Marine Ig. I have read a lot about them and think they are a most interesting and attractive animal, even though it's nothing I'd like to try myself.
Just looking for thoughts from folks who know lizards in general and particularly Iguanas better than I do.
Luck,
filthy
: Well Filthy...I figure that the saltwater deal is an adaptation issue and NOT a requirement for its survival...but Im more than likely way off. Yeah they eat green & red algae...brown algae in a pinch when they are desparate found off the intertidal flats of the coast nutrient rich, usually plentiful and loaded with Vitamin D as if they lack that!! will dive for seaweed/kelp when adults and desparate too...or so Ive read from one of the articles posted by the HerpDigest (just this past week). Need a link? Email me.
