Well Filthy...I figure that the saltwater deal is an adaptation issue and NOT a requirement for its survival...but Im more than likely way off. Yeah they eat green & red algae...brown algae in a pinch when they are desparate found off the intertidal flats of the coast nutrient rich,usually plentiful and loaded with Vitamin D as if they lack that!! will dive for seaweed/kelp when adults and desparate too...or so Ive read from one of the articles posted by the HerpDigest (just this past week).
