Personally I would gain slaters trust first, My Spazzy hates the tub but after awhile the warm water soothes her and she starts to relax, If your concerned about Slater loosing the trust in you I wouldn't be so routine, You don't say how old slater is or how long you have had him,It took awhile before Spazzy learned I was not going to hurt her, and with her trust it makes the tub trips easier. If you are doing the tub thing for water absorption you might want to consider a humidifier run it only under your supervision though as iggies absorb moisture thru their skin.I run it in the morning before I go to work for about an hour if she goes near it I shut it off immediately and I run it at night for a couple hours.I am vigilant when it is on so she does not get burned by the steam. If you are doing this for poop reasons my personal opinion is let your iggy poop in the cage if that is where it is going to be most of the time, I learned that my spazzy givin the chance would only poop out doors when it was summer and if I got home later than usual she would hold it until I got home, I had a real hard time convincing her that winter time is no place for her out doors. She is still angry about this but I at least have her so she will poop in her cage again.
: When I pick up Slater twice a day, one out of those two times I take Slater to the tub to give him a warm soaking. Slater doesn't like the tub much at all. Won't he learn that when I pick him up I will probably bring to the tub and he'll lose trust in me (actually he have to start trusting me first.)?
