some thoughts please

I'm currently treating Ziggy, a large male, for an abscessed knuckle. Treatment includes diluted betadine flushes of the knuckle and amoxicillin orally. The knuckle seems to be responding well, altho Zig seems a bit depressed the last few days. His appetite however is better than it ever has been. The strange thing is....the large male bumps on his head seem to have deflated over the last several days. They are now depressions. His weight overall is holding well. Any insight??
