I would have to agree with Baby Herp. Give this male iguana a few months to settle in and then watch out. His old environment was "HIS" an issue to do with territory. But now, since he's in your house, he's mellow. I would lay money that within 6 months tops, you will have a wild iguana on your hands.
I have one right now, Harry and I can take him to the Vet and his as mellow as the day we got him. But when he gets home, watch out!!! If I was to ship him off to someone's house, I believe he would be mellow for a time, just because he's not sure about the surroundings. But as time goes on, he would claim his rights to the area and fight to show his dominates over anything.
I could be wrong, but with the issues I deal with Harry on, I think, I'm right on the money. Be care with this guy, at his age, the bites can be very serious.
