We always make sure that they adoptive homes are fully aware of the reptile's tendencies and behaviours. Once they are adopted out we are constantly checking up on them - they become part of our extended-family.

What we will be doing is telling people who have/had dogs that Jub-Jub will probably not be the one for them.

They are going to have their entire placed cleaned and then we will bring over one of our female iguanas to see what happens. They loved Jubs dearly and hated to give him up. They treated him like royalty and he was beautiful with them outside of the house.

Thanks for the thoughts!

:
: Great question with no straight answer. We went thru the same thing with our male Caesar and HD & LM are going thru the same thing as are others.
: We tried light therapy, only his dad giving him his favorite foods and treats,we tried everything as are HD & LM.We tried hormone therapy also and our vet told us if the hormones didn't work than neutering him wouldn't either. We had read about this happening and thought to ourselves,,,they just didn't know how to treat an ig,,,,but boy were we wrong. Our thoughts on Caesar, was that he viewed me as his and Dan as a strange looking ig that was encrouching on his territory. He never did stop his behavoir with us but was fine with everyone else in the house. We found him a good home and keep in touch with his owners to this day.
: Good luck and be sure to tell his new owners about his behavoir when you adopt him out.
