i wouldn't think it'd be the scent of the former dog *unless* maybe the ig had a bad experience with a dog in the past????? iZ doesn't mind our dog at all, in fact, he likes to jump on the dog when he's asleep ... so i don't *think* it's a 'natural' fear, more of a 'learned' thing ...

i was gonna say maybe he just needs to adjust to the new house, but if he's fine at your house, then it doesn't really sound like stress over new environment ... unless ... is the enclosure you have substantionally different from the one Jub-Jub's parents have??? is it maybe a new enclosure that he's protesting??? or maybe an enclosure that *he* feels he's outgrown and resents being anywhere *near* it???? (iZ went thru that one ...)

that's the only thoughts i have ... hope you can find a solution ...
