if your friend is not very familiar with igs *and* the ig didn't have a very good home before this, i'd really recommend taking Sam the ig to an iguana vet for a check up ... take a fresh poop sample in to check for parasites ... like kittens + puppies, *all* igs need to be treated for worms + other parasites ...

about the nose: it is impossible for us to tell ... if it is a fresh, *small* abrasion, neosporin *may* be all it needs ... but if it is an injury that has been there for a while, the ig may need to be on prescription antibiotics from the vet ... the same with the tail ... it may be something that is no big deal, but *we* really can't tell you for sure, one way or the other ...

*the best* thing your friend can do is find an IGUANA vet and take Sam the ig in to make sure he is healthy + ok ... even a *small* infection can spread throughout an ig's body + can cause ALOT of damage and/or kill him ...

the single best way i've discovered to find a qualified ig-vet, is to call around + find one who has done numerous, *sucessful* iguana *surgeries* ... *ANY* vet can say they know about igs, but not alot really do ... find an ig-surgeon and you will find someone who *does* know about igs ...

best of luck!!!
